KaBoom! Fireworks on the Navesink takes place along the banks of the Navesink River the evening of July 3, 2008 (with a rain date of July 4th). The epicenter of the event revolves around two Red Bank parks-Marine Park, at the base of Wharf Avenue, and Riverside Gardens Park on Front Street. More than a dozen food vendors set-up to provide food and drink to the over 50,000 people who pour into downtown Red Bank for the event. A large stage is set up at each park and live entertainment is provided from 4:00 PM up until the fireworks show at dusk and then again for another 45 minutes after the display. At around 9:15 PM the skies fill with one of the most sophisticated fireworks displays in the country. Launched from two barge locations, Garden State Fireworks of Millington, New Jersey shoots over 10,000 shells, all choreographed to an eclectic mix of popular and patriotic songs.
