No, the event is free.
Can I bring my pet?
The Borough of Red Bank prohibits pets in the public parks.
Where is a good place to watch the fireworks?
The Red Bank Harbor is a natural amphitheater to watch fireworks. Good views are to be had from all four sides. The majority of the crowd watches from the following locations:
- Marine Park
- Riverside Gardens Park
- At the end of Maple Avenue
- Behind the Red Bank Public Library
Where can I Park?
We recommend the following locations:
- The Two River Theater – 25 Bridge Avenue – a $10 donation supports the fireworks.
- PRC building – 141 West Front Street
- Day Funeral Home – 88 Riverside Avenue
- Globe Parking Garage –Globe Court
How will I know if the fireworks are postponed until the rain date of July 4th?
The fireworks committee will make every effort to shoot the fireworks on July 3rd. The show will be postponed to the 4th only if conditions are truly bad. The decision must be made by
2:00 PM the day of the show. Check with our web-site www.kaboomfireworks.org or tune into Q104.3 FM for the latest conditions.
What time do the fireworks begin?
The fireworks are scheduled to begin around 9:15 PM, if the weather permits. Otherwise, the show will begin when the weather clears. Tune to Q104.3 FM for the latest conditions.
When do the streets close in Red Bank?
At 4:00 PM, the Red Bank police close Wharf Avenue into Marine Park. At around 6:00 PM, they start to close the downtown area streets – all streets east of Maple Avenue (Rte. 35), north of Reckless Place and Harding, and streets west of Spring Street.
Do you have special parking for the handicapped?
Yes, the parking lot at the Red Bank Public Library is designated for handicapped parking. There is good viewing from next to the parking lot and ADA port-a-lets are provided at that site. Be aware the lot fills up quickly so plan to come early.
Can I bring my own food and drink into the parks?
Yes but the borough of Red Bank prohibits alcoholic beverages in the parks.
Can I take a train to the fireworks?
Yes, in fact it is recommended as parking is at a premium in Red Bank that night. The Red Bank train station is about ½ mile from Marine Park.
NJ Transit will be running their Holiday Schedule on July 3rd but they are adding extra trains to get to and from Red Bank. In addition to the normal stops in Red Bank, northbound trains will come into Red Bank at 7:09 PM, 8:08 PM, and 10:47 PM. Extra southbound trains stopping in Red Bank are at 8:12 PM and 10:51 PM. If I purchase a Friends of KaBoom package, do I need to bring my own chairs?
No, chairs are provided at both west and east locations.
What are the differences between Friends of KaBoom East and West?The east location is in Marine Park, close to the stage but one has to walk three blocks from the designated parking lot to the park and then through the park, down the hill, to the northwest corner of Marine Park. The west location is behind the K. Hovnanian building at 110 West Front Street. Parking is under the building and a close walk to the designated viewing area but the west location is a couple of blocks away from the live music events in the parks.
