MATT WADE

Matt is making a serious mark as a pianist and singer-songwriter with his 2009 self-titled album.  At a young age, this multi-talented musician and vocalist immersed himself in a variety of music genres from pop and rock to jazz and blues.  He ultimately developed a style influenced by such greats as Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Billy Joel, Jamie Cullum and John Mayer. Matt began playing piano at the age of four and he eventually added drums and guitar to his repertoire.  He is also a self-taught Hammond B3 player.  Matt went on to study music at the New School University in New York City.    In addition to performing at venues in the tri-state area, Matt is no stranger to the music scene along the Jersey Shore where he resides.  His musical journey has given him the opportunity to share the stage with Joey DeFrancesco, Dave Mason, and Vini "Mad Dog" Lopez. He was awarded the "Best New Artist Award" at the 2010 Jersey Acoustic Music Awards.
